God has blessed us with many opportunities
From first aid to assisting with access to TB treatment to providing transportation to medical check-ups and providing prescribed medicines, our outreach to the Ati includes being there to help when a medical crisis or challenge arises.
These Ati children are playing on a concrete water tank. Currently water must be carried to over a 100 homes in two villages from long distances. Wells are contaminated and springs and other sources are often unsafe and unreliable. Babies and children are regularly sickened with water-borne disease, as well as the elderly and those fighting other diseases like TB. We are working to secure safe and easily accessible water for the community.
Establishing gardens to assist the tribe with healthy vegetables, while teaching methods to improve the soil and increase productivity. Long range goals include the introduction of aquaponics to the tribe, enabling them to produce fresh fish for protein in their diets as well as vegetables for use and market.
